2. How long will it take to develop Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj?

The development of Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj takes place in stages.  At this moment, we do not have an expected completion date because there are many components to developing a community.  It involves rules and regulations; processes and procedures; city and county, and in some cases, state and federal agencies; and money.

It is a challenging process and takes time, but we will be able to develop our community with persistence, commitment, and determination.  If you believe in our cause and want the community to be developed sooner, we encourage you to get involve by becoming a member or donor.

 

3. How big is the property and where will Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj reside?

The property is 210 acres, and is located northwest of the City of Oroville, California, adjacent to Highway 70.  One hundred and forty acres are in the county limit; 70 acres are in the city limit.  The 48 acres southwest of Table Mountain Boulevard is reserved for the development of businesses.  The 52 acres northwest of Table Mountain Boulevard is reserved for the development of more businesses, the administration building (Yeej Loog Qoov Sua), the temple (Vaj Loog Zim Txwv), park and recreation (Looj Loog Luaj Sim), multiple residential homes, and the school.  The 40 acres adjacent to the 70 acres in the city limit northeast of the property is dedicated to the development of agriculture.  The 70 acres in the city limit is reserved primarily for the development of residential living, a hotel, and a gas station.

 

4. Will the Oroville Dam have any impact on Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj?

The Oroville Dam is located on the east side of the city of Oroville.  Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj is located on the northwest side of the city of Oroville and is on high land.  The risk of the Oroville Dam spill and its impact on Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj is very low.  Furthermore, the Oroville Dam is staffed with engineers at all times who will assist in warning the public should the need arise.

6. What are the expectations for contributing to the Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj project as a member?

We believe in the concept of family and support for one another.  When you join our family and become our brother or sister, your contribution to the project will begin.  You will determine your own monthly contribution amount.

 

7. How do I make a living in Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj?

We will develop an economically sustaining community based on the concept of a “One Stop Center,” where most of our community members will live and work in the community.  We will develop businesses, agriculture, a temple, a school, park and recreation, and multiple and single – family residential living spaces in our community.

Additionally, Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj is located in one of the most desirable locations in Oroville, California.  Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj is located in the Northwest Oroville community and is adjacent to Highway 70, providing easy access to nearby communities, such as Paradise, Chico, Marysville, Yuba City, Live Oak, and Gridley.  Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj is located about an hour and a half from Sacramento (the State Capital), approximately two and a half hours from San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, roughly three hours from the Tahoe National Forest, and an estimated four hours from the stunning Yosemite National Park; therefore, commuting for work and recreational activities are not an issue.  In today’s technologically advanced world, many members also have the opportunity and option to work from home.

 

8. Can I live and/or work in Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj without being a member?

Yes, you can live and/or work in Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj without being a member.  In such cases, you will be our tenant and/or employee, rent one of our apartments or homes, and follow our rules and regulations as well as the lease agreement(s).

If you wish to receive the benefits stated in our membership benefits found on our website (see FAQ #5 for directions on how to find membership benefits) and want to be an owner of Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj and one of our homes, we encourage you to join and become a member.

 

9. If I do not want to be a member or live in Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj, but I want to donate money to support your cause, what will you do to ensure my donation will go towards the development of Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj?

All donations are given to Kev Ntseeg Leej Niam.  Kev Ntseeg Leej Niam will use the money for the development of Zos Ntuj Hmoov Ntuj and Vaj Loog Zim Txwv (the Temple).

Kev Ntseeg Leej Niam is a legal religious institution under Section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Your donation may be tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.  In addition, Kev Ntseeg Leej Niam is a member of the Oroville Chamber of Commerce and Sacramento Area Congregations Together (Sacramento ACT), registered with Guide Star and Network for Good, and established an endowment fund with InFaith Community Foundation.

 

We will create an Oversight Committee to oversee the spending of our donations, when necessary, for transparency purposes.  When the Committee is created, we may ask city officials, county officials, professionals, and major donors to sit on the Committee.
